The objective of the study is to review the effects of implementation of International Standards (Voluntary Sustainable Standards projects) on the environmental performance of the tea sector in Rwanda.
The specific objectives of the study are:
1. To examine the relationship between the implementation
of the VSS projects and environmental performance of the tea production units in Rwanda.
2. To compare the environmental performance between Sorwathé and Mulindi factory and contribution of the VSS implementation to this.
The research questions are;
1. How does the implementation of the VSS affect the performance tea production in Rwanda?
2. What is the relationship between performance of Mulindi and Sorwathé and how can this be attributed to the implementation
of VSS project.
